Michael CHAN (photo), an MSS training consultant, was tasked to write up the comprehensive security training curriculum some 6 months before the opening of the museum of visual culture in West Kowloon. The training package is composed of over 60 modules from the basics (e.g. House Rules, OSH and etc), standard operating procedures (SOPs) to the detailed handling of incidents and emergencies (COPs), to be in line with the client’s requirements. Any new issues that come to light from different visitor profiles and the changing environment will be discussed, revised and incorporated into monthly training refreshers. Michael is also responsible for the conduction of training and describes himself as the spearhead of the unique type of security training designed for a world’s leading museum.
早在位於西九龍的視覺文化博物館開幕前六個月，宏力保安的訓練顧問陳宗棠(圖)，就被委派負責編撰一個全面的保安訓練課程，這個課程內容由六十多個單元組成，包括基礎知識(例如場館規則及職安健等)，與標準的運作程序(SOPs)，以至詳細的一般和緊急事故處理(COPs)，需完全配合客户的管理要求，而開幕後，亦會根據訪客形態和環境改變，經討論研究後更新再納入每月的複習課堂中。陳宗棠亦是負責整個訓練的導師，他形容自己是為一所世界頂級博物館，去設計這個獨一無二的保安訓練而擔作先鋒。
