The Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ)

 

The Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ) is a statutory body established under the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications Ordinance (Cap. 592) in Hong Kong. The HKCAAVQ is responsible for assessing and accrediting academic and vocational qualifications offered by local and overseas education and training providers in Hong Kong.

The HKCAAVQ's main role is to ensure that the qualifications offered by education and training providers meet the standards set by the Hong Kong Qualifications Framework (HKQF), which is a system that organizes qualifications in Hong Kong according to their levels and types. In addition, the HKCAAVQ provides quality assurance services to education and training providers to help them develop and improve their programs and services.

The HKCAAVQ also serves as a member of the Hong Kong Qualifications Framework Advisory Committee, which advises the Hong Kong Education Bureau on matters related to the implementation and development of the HKQF.
